This is a bitesize version of our more comprehensive My Type 2 Diabetes course. It covers all of the basics that you need to know about Type 2 diabetes. You can find all of our free courses for people with Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational diabetes at https://elearning.mydiabetesmyway.scot.nhs.uk. These courses are provided by MyWay Digital Health and have been developed in collaboration with the University of Dundee and the University of Edinburgh.

Please note, these services are not connected to myaccount, so you will be asked to create a new account to access eLearning. Your myaccount details will work as normal to allow you to access your diabetes records.

Exercise and Activity
There are still a few more weeks left of summertime which means there’s still time to get active. Regular physical activity can help:
• lift your mood
• your general wellbeing
• your sleep pattern
• increase energy levels
• reduce stress

Everyone will have their own level of fitness and ability. Some of our resources will help you find the right amount of activity for you. https://mydiabetesmyway.scot.nhs.uk/know-more/my-lifestyle/activity-exercise/

Diabetes UK also have some useful resources on ways to move while sitting:

Research Study Questionnaire
My Diabetes My Way supports diabetes research in Scotland. The University of Glasgow is currently running a study to assess the “Longer term effects of COVID 19”.

This study will ask people in Scotland with type 1 and type 2 diabetes what issues they have experienced over the past year with both COVID and their diabetes control. We’d like as many people with diabetes as possible to join in, whether or not you’ve had (or think you might have had) COVID 19.

If you are interested in taking part, please click on the link. More information is provided on the website: https://redcap.link/DiabetesCOVIDstudy

The questionnaire survey will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete.

Due to the current situation with Coronavirus, it is taking us longer to collect mail, create new enrolment packs and send out registration paperwork for you to access your diabetes records. We are currently processing enrolment packs in batches every two weeks, but we are now happy for you to email us back a photo or scanned copy of your signed form to avoid any further delays.
